After my car accident, my neck and lower back were in really bad shape, and I was dealing with pain every day. I’m so glad I found Herfindahl Chiropractic because they really helped me get back to feeling like myself again. Dr. Herfindahl is awesome, and everyone in the office is so kind and welcoming. They always made me feel comfortable, took the time to explain everything, and genuinely cared about my recovery. Now I feel so much better, and I can finally get back to my normal daily life without the constant pain. I can't thank the team enough for everything they've done for me. Dr Ashley has such a different approach to any other chiropractic I've been too. I have scoliosis and was struggling to hold my adjusting when was introduced to him. Dr. Herfindahl has saved me twice before. Once, when I was in a car accident 20 years ago, and now for severe back pain and a herniated disk. I have started spinal decompression after being in constant pain the last six months and not being able to sleep. Now, after only a few treatments, i can sleep through the night again. This is truly life changing care that has brought back my quality of life. The entire crew is amazing there. I have been going to Dr. Herfindahl since the days when he had an office in Pacific Beach.  Dr. Herfindahl is amazing,he is very thorough and very caring. Although chiropractic appointments are usually quick in nature Dr. Herfindahl actually takes the time to really listen and makes suggestions to help you in your healing process. This place and the people who run/work there are great. It has a nice atmosphere that is very welcoming compared to other chiropractic offices I have been to. Dr. Herfindahl is not only a great listener but is very thorough with what he does and he and his staff do very good about making you feel like you're in the right place. He even took the time to reach out and check in on me after the visit but I missed the call. The one thing i’d change that felt a little off was the follow up after the initial appointment. I understand it’s a business and they need to sell people on getting care but the overview of the payment plan felt a bit like I went into a timeshare office and a script was being read off. How do I even start…… I am a returning patient of Dr. Herfindahl after several years of being absent from maintenance treatment . I am as satisfied now as I was many years back. Although he is currently treating me, I would like to thank him and his beautiful team for the quality of care that has been provided to my daughter. I place a high value on quality  of care so much that with his experience, set of skills, education and compassion we are willing to travel to San Diego from Imperial County two to three times a week and is so worth it. I'm very glad I found Dr. H and for the current state of Chiropractic Bio Physics science and technology. If this type of practice was not at it's current state and I was alive a century ago I would have been disabled and in debilitating pain the rest of my life. The same unfortunate outcome would also be the case had I went to an ordinary modern day hospital because they do not recognize the practice of chiropractic biophysics or practice things that actually cure people of their conditions. I'm glad I met Dr. Ashley after 5 weeks of treatment my debilitating pain is hardly noticeable and I expect to return to my former athletic level before my life changing injury. Dr. H also addressed the entire structure of my spine and identified things traditional medicine and chiropractics overlook, and is correcting my posture as well, I feel taller, stronger, more vigorous and expect to maintain my active lifestyle through age. Hear me out. 😮‍💨 Energy in the brain & runs down your spinal cord and delivers necessary blood and oxygen to your organs. If your structure is “off”, your health isn’t 100%… when your body can’t function at 100%, sickness and disease set in— and you go to the doc, they (over) prescribe a medication 💊 or two or three and/or surgery. But never getting to THE ROOT of the issue. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Anywaaaayz, I’ve lived in conditioned fear for decades but I’m climbing out. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Wait, I’m OUT of that bag💥👏🏽💥👏🏽. So yeah, if you are sick, in pain, have ailments and on numerous meds—will yourself to open your mind, allow yourself to receive PROPER education from healers, (not the media) and then start your healing journey. Lemme 👏🏽TELL👏🏽 YOU👏🏽honey… the week of Thanksgiving, my L5-S1 injury resurfaced after almost 11 years of being “calm”— the following 5 weeks were THE WORST; no sleep, can’t sit, difficulty walking, pain, pain, pain, numbness, exhaustion, etc. 😡 I despise taking medicine because they are SOOOOOO BAD for our bodies so I had to overcome my fear & doubt, listen to My Godsend, aka My Healer Numero Uno & called his referral, Herfindahl Chiropractic. I went in, blood pressure high cuz of fear 😨, got a FULLLLL EXAM, X-rays and an education session on what was happening inside my body. So, I signed up for spinal decompression therapy program. Dr. Herfindahl told me “Are you in? This will be an intense 3 months but we will GET YOU BETTER!” I said “Intense, as in P A I N cuz I can’t do much more of that”. 😳 He said “Pain, no. Commitment to doing what we prescribe, yes. Staying the course & trusting the process, that’s what I mean by INTENSE”. So I said “ohhh I can do THAT; I just gotta get out of pain and get some sleep again, cuz I can take a lot but I’m at my wits end now.” And with that, we engaged in extensive therapy 3 times a week (commitment). Wobble chair, Cold lasers penetrating epidermal layer with high vibration frequency to heal, chiropractic adjustments specific to my issue, decompression therapy (DRX) followed my muscle re-education/ eStim and healing ❤️‍🩹. Love their office atmosphere, it reminds me of my beloved acupuncturist who retired. Love the music, then mindset, the caring and loving staff and … for me? It’s the education. Had I known decades ago what I know NOW— my daughter would NEVER have had to have 4 dang hip surgeries. But as the saying goes- when you know better, you DO better‼️ I am sooooo grateful to Dr. H, his GENUINE heart to help and heal & people & his power team who are equally as committed to his vision. If it weren’t for them, Lawwwwd only know where I’d be now. I still am on the mend— and entering into my STABILIZATION phase of treatment. I feel so incredibly empowered to enter this next chapter. I love intelligent people who have the right heart and mindset. I’ve told y’all many times before— IRON SHARPENS IRON. And I hope you take this as a lil’ iron-sharpening today. You knowwwwwwzzzz that I love y’all and pray for your health and healing— and that your M I N D S E T will get in proper alignment so you can tune out the noise, tune into your body and give it the freedom to get back to its natural design—the way God intended you to be. AFTER THREE MONTHS: Now I've been treated by Dr. Herfindahl and his staff for three months and continue to see improvements. Pain almost never impacts my sleep and it was a common occurrence before. I'm walking further and walking more often. My energy levels have risen as well. Dr. Herfindahl's treatments have shown positive, incremental results for me and it happened faster than I expected. IAFTER ONE MONTH: 've been treated here for the last month and have been blessed with noticable improvements. It had gotten to where I couldn't enjoy walking our dogs with my wife. Now I can enjoy walking again because I'm not enduring so much pain. I notice the fresh air and beauty of the outdoors again and I'm not just thinking "when will this be over." I don't mind running in to people along the way and I'm more talkative with my wife and others. I didn't realize how bad it had gotten until it got better. I found this chiropractor from a search looking for the Webster technique which is used to turn breech babies. I called on a Friday and they got back to me the same day and scheduled an appointment for Monday. I went in 37 weeks pregnant with a breech baby and after two treatments in one week, my baby turned head down. Of course the doctor was concerned with my overall wellbeing, so he did adjustments to help align my whole back as well which helped with some of the pregnancy aches and pains. This was my first visit to a chiropractor using a Groupon and I am glad I decided on this practice. Staff was very nice and helpful in informing me not only of what was going to happen in the appointment but also of what the doctor was going to throughly explain to me later so that I will have an understanding! Doctor Herfindahl and his receptionist Liz are amazing in all kinds of terms. It is my pleasure to share my experience that I had. He is enormously  professional, he listens to all the problems that you have, he explains everything in your body from head to toe, he demonstrates every part that could cause any possible problem. I walked in and the receptionist was very very very nice and friendly. If there was 10 stars I would definitely give them 10 but 1 to 5 definitely five stars. I was late for my appointment and Liz the receptionist called me to check whether I was going to come or not and that meant so much to me thank you so much. Immediately upon entering the office I felt welcomed.  The staff gave a tour of the facility and answered questions.  Dr. Herfindahl was compassionate, taking his time to explain in detail what the process entailed. Before seeing Dr Herfindahl I was experiencing chronic pain in my neck. I saw several specialists, had a brain and neck MRI, and even an ultrasound but the Dr's couldn't find out what was causing pain. Luckily I found Dr Herfindahl, at my first appointment he was very thorough and explained everything that may be causing my symptoms, he also conducted an Xray. After further reviewing my Xrays, He showed what may be causing my neck pain. I had a straight cervical spine .And After discussing treatments, and getting adjusted 3 times a week... within 2 weeks I noticed my chronic pain was no longer chronic and after a few months I am pain free. Although my neck isn't 100% I am committed to seeing Dr. Herfindahl on a monthly basis to treat my cervical spine until I get 100% better. Dr Herfindahl is very professional. He is super friendly and is also interested about you on how things are going outside your weekly visits. What makes his practice awesome is his Staff! Greetings, I was recently rear-ended while in my car by another vehicle. This caused several injuries to my spine, Dr Herfindahl and his team we're pivotal with my initial assessment of injuries. Their process for evaluation is the most thorough I've ever experienced at a chiropractor's office. I immediately became aware that they care deeply for the healing of their clients. Dr herfindahl's ability to put my injuries in terms I could easily understand coupled with x-rays that clearly depicted everything he was describing. In only 2 visits to his office I felt significant relief. His methods and level of detail, build confidence and assured me that he knows precisely how to heal people. If you had asked me about back pain a few years ago, I would have explained how I carry all of my tension in my shoulder blades.  There was always a knot on one side or the other I was consistently trying to eliminate.  After tweaking my back at a trampoline park, and not finding relief through massage and stretches, I decided it was time to seek out my first chiropractor. My first visit was very thorough (including x-rays), and Dr. Herfindahl explained everything in a clear, easy to understand manner that helped me understand where the issues lie, what my current posture was, and its effects on my body overall.  Appointments started with two visits a week, and within the first week, the pain had decreased significantly, and within the first two weeks I would say it was gone completely.  Two visits a week decreased to once a week, and now finally twice a month.   Over the past year that I’ve been visiting the office I’ve seen the initial pain that I went in for completely disappear, my posture improve greatly, the “stress knots” that I used to always have are no longer there, and I have even seen a decrease in the number of migraines I get. I started seeing Dr. Herfindahl a couple of years ago when while sitting at my desk at work I noticed a tingling sensation going down both arms.  On further reflection I realized that I was having trouble daily just getting out of bed and doing other routine activities due to back pain.  Dr. Herfindahl listened to my concerns when I told him I could no longer live with the pain I was feeling.  He began treating me with weekly adjustments and set me up with an exercise regimen that has decreased my pain dramatically.  I no longer have the tingling sensation in my arms and I am able to get out of bed in the morning without pain.  In addition I have had other issues including headaches and Plantar Fasciitis which Dr. Herfindahl has treated with great success.  The headaches have decreased in frequency and the pain in my foot from the Plantar Fasciitis has been greatly reduced with just a few adjustments. I would recommend Herfindahl Chiropractic to anyone experiencing pain that is having a negative impact on their lives.  The staff at Dr. Herfindahl's office is top notch and always friendly.  Liz and Heather along with Dr. Herfindahl make every visit pleasant and informative in addition to being very efficient allowing one to be treated during the work day with very little inconvenience. I injured myself almost one year ago while picking up a case of water. I was in very bad pain and at first chose to do nothing (just like the video said) thinking it would get better. After giving it 4-6 months my wife referred me here as it helped her from a previous car accident where she was rear ended. I gave it a shot and it is amazing how much better I feel today compared to when I first sat down to register in the office. Thank you Dr. Herfindahl for making life better. As for the staff, you will feel welcomed the second you walk in whether it is Heather or Liz...and the massage therapist (Kyla & Barbara) have taken my recovery even further. I first started exploring the world of Chiropractic treatment as a solid preventative maintenance program.  I initially met Dr. Herfindahl at our Gym.  I first met him at our gym and we got talking about what I was looking for in my overall health.  Since first starting with Dr. Ashley I have noticed considerable improvements not only in my every day life, but most noticeably in the Gym.  As a whole I feel stronger, better balanced, and most importantly I'm aware of how my body feels.  Dr. H offers so much more than just your average adjustment. After retiring and moving to San Diego, I was experiencing severe back and leg pain with no idea who to turn to for relief. Several friends recommended Dr. Herfindahl with positive comments and praise.  I am so glad that I took their advice. Walking into his office I was greeted by friendly staff who promptly introduced themselves and helped me with all my paperwork. I met with Dr. Herfindahl and reviewed all my medical concerns. He was professional in his approach to the problem and after completing the initial testing, recommended a series of compression treatments along with his adjustments. The difference has been night and day! I no longer have the debilitating pain and can resume my daily activities pain free. Dr. Herfindahl has been there through the whole process, making adjustments in my treatment when needed and offering suggestions to maintain my health in between treatments. I would highly recommend Herfindahl Chiropractic to anyone who is experiencing limited mobility and pain. I had been in a car accident and suffered severe whiplash from it.  I was having a lot of neck pain, headaches and numbness in my arms and hands.  I never liked the thought of going to a chiropractor and having my neck cracked or anything else cracked for that matter but thanks to Dr. H's skill and gentle treatments his excellent care has caused me to no longer fear chiropractic care and I am no longer having any neck pain or headaches. I rarely have any tingling or numbness in my arms when it used to be a constant problem. If I do have an incident I just go in and get adjusted and I am immediately relieved.  Now I can go long periods of time without needing an adjustment. Don't ignore your symptoms/problems - they WILL only get worse.  Be consistent in whatever treatments the doctor suggests. Dr. Ashley Herfindahl was helping me resolve headaches and pain within my shoulders/ neck.  I have been going here for a few months and I no longer have those horrible headaches and the pain is substantially getting better within my shoulders/neck. Hi, I have been to Herfindahl Chiropractic for over ten years.  And he has worked on my entire family. I first met  Dr. Ashley at a screening. He was very professional and informative.  We scheduled an appointment for my sister.  This soon lead to my whole family to see him. My personal experience started when I had an ear ache.  I had gone to the doctor three times and took medicine in hopes of it going away. A coworker suggested I go to a chiropractor so I set up an appointment for Dr Ashley.  After Dr. Ashley ajusted me I wad free of pain. Since then I have seen him for multiple issues including injuries from car accident. The staff at Herfindahl Chiropractic is friendly. I got into a car accident a couple of years ago and at first everything seemed okay. I went to my doctor and they said all I had was whiplash and a bit of bruising. The next day I awoke and my whole body was hurting. It felt like I had fallen out of a window on the 20th floor of a skyscraper. My mother suggested that we should go and see Dr. Ashley. When we went he did a full assessment that included x-rays and a full exam. Because I have been going to him for a while, he could tell right away that something was wrong. The x-rays also showed that my spine was now misaligned and was certainly why I was experiencing an immense amount of pain. Not only did he treat me, he also helped me find a wonderful lawyer that helped me sue the driver of the other car. Dr. Ashley is just a doctor that cares. I went to Dr Herfindahl's for lower back pain, and I was happy to hear honest feedback from Dr Herfindahl. You see I had gone to 3 other chiropractors even though I knew what was wrong with my back. All three of them told me false information. What I was looking for was a more affordable solution, and Dr Herfindahl really helped with a payment plan that fit my budget. I've had back pain for over 20 years and have been to a lot of practitioners over the years, some more helpful, some less.  I didn't go to Dr H because of an acute episode which is the reason I usually get started with a new practitioner. I came across him at an expo and decided to see if I could get some long-lasting help with the chronic, nagging condition I'd become accustomed to.  I like the fact that he isn't just about doing adjustments on an ad-hoc basis.  He had a specific 6 month plan which I found very helpful. I did have an acute episode early on and was astounded that within 2 days he had me upright again -- something that's never happened before. I met Dr. Hefindahl during Oktoberfest in La Mesa for a free consultation. Afterwards, I met him again at his office. I was a little scared because it was my first visit to a Chiropractor office. I was never in so much back pain in my life! I could barley walk or sleep and was in tears. After one visit with Dr. Herfindahl I was 90% better and after my second visit I was 100% better, no pain what so ever!! I could not believe it, his non-drug therapy and adjustments saved me. His treatments are miraculous!!
